Farella Braun + Martel Welcomes Family Wealth Attorney Daniel Vermillion
SAN FRANCISCO / ST. HELENA, February 23, 2015: Daniel C. Vermillion has joined Farella Braun + Martel LLP as a senior associate in its Family Wealth Group.
Vermillion works with individuals, families and family businesses to develop and implement sophisticated personal wealth transfer and business succession planning. His clients have included high-net worth individuals requiring complex wealth preservation strategies and vehicles. He has counseled winery owners and large land owners to design and implement plans for business succession and changes in management and ownership of family businesses, navigating myriad income, estate, gift and property tax implications while minimizing the burden of transfer on successive generations.
Vermillion earned an LL.M. in taxation from New York University (2012) and a J.D., cum laude, with a tax concentration from the UC Hastings College of the Law (2009). He is an active member of the nonprofit Active 20-30 Club of Santa Rosa and currently serves as its second vice president. Vermillion joins the firm from Santa Rosa-based Spaulding, McCullough and Tansil LLP.
