Karen Jue is a member of Farella Braun + Martel's Real Estate & Land Use Department.
Ms. Jue's practice includes the acquisition, disposition and financing of office, retail, museum and vineyard and winery properties, in addition to the option, acquisition and leasing of undeveloped or agricultural land for wind and solar energy projects and mitigation lands. Ms. Jue's renewable energy practice includes all aspects of the due diligence needed to bring a project through its final stages, including negotiations to acquire or limit easements and mineral rights. She also has extensive experience negotiating retail, office, and industrial leases on behalf of both landlords and tenants, including the representation of several nationwide retailers in their new leases and existing lease workouts during Chapter 11.
Ms. Jue is experienced in structuring ownership entities, including partnership and limited liability company organizations, and has worked with developers on restructuring their organizations and project operations to survive a distressed economic climate. She has also advised and represented developers and owners in workouts with their lenders of both single asset and portfolio loans.
