Katina Ancar, Associate

Katina Ancar is an associate at Farella Braun + Martel. Ms. Ancar practices civil litigation with a focus on insurance coverage.

Ms. Ancar represents clients in state and federal court as well as in alternative dispute resolution.  Her experience ranges from litigating class action civil rights claims to defending individual clients in breach of fiduciary duty actions.  Ms. Ancar regularly assists clients seeking insurance coverage for a variety of claims, including property damage, securities fraud, and environmental torts.  She has represented a computer chip manufacturer in a lawsuit against an insurance carrier for breach of the duty to defend and bad faith.

Prior to joining Farella Braun + Martel, Ms. Ancar was both a Skadden Fellow and Staff Attorney with the National Center for Youth Law in Oakland, California. She is an alumnae of Harvard Law School and a former judicial law clerk to the Honorable Susan Illston of the United States District Court in San Francisco.

Ms. Ancar is admitted to the California State Bar, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and the United States District Court for the District of Utah.
