David F. Phillips, Associate
David F. Phillips has been practicing with the firm since 1989. He works on a variety of civil, criminal and appellate litigation matters. He also contributes legal research and writing to special projects in many subject areas.
Mr. Phillips has made a special study of the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the Uniform Trade Secrets Act, the California anti-SLAPP remedy, California mechanics liens, attorney-client privilege, habeas corpus proceedings, and many other areas of law. He was the law librarian at Farella from 1977 to 1982, and in 1982 was named a Certified Law Librarian by the American Association of Law Libraries. He has also served as an adjunct instructor in the mock trial program at Golden Gate University Law School in San Francisco.
Mr. Phillips is also admitted to the Ninth Circuit, Northern District of California, First Circuit and District of Massachusetts.
