Erica Villanueva, Associate
Erica Villanueva is an associate at Farella Braun + Martel and a member of the Insurance Coverage practice.
Ms. Villanueva represents policyholders seeking coverage under a variety of primary and excess insurance policies, including general liability, directors' and officers' liability, professional liability, employers' liability, and business interruption insurance policies. She has successfully argued motions on behalf of policyholder clients in both federal and state court. She also works on behalf of insureds to resolve coverage disputes through negotiation, mediation and other alternative dispute resolution processes.
Ms. Villanueva currently serves as Co-Chair of the Insurance Section of the Bar Association of San Francisco Barristers Club.
Ms. Villanueva maintains an active pro bono practice. Her recent pro bono experience includes successfully defending a collection/breach of contract action in Alameda County Superior Court, where served as lead trial counsel during the four-day bench trial.
Ms. Villanueva is fluent in Spanish.
