Farella Braun + Martel Expands With Six Attorneys
SAN FRANCISCO (January 17, 2007) - Farella Braun + Martel adds six associates to the firm, including: Caroline Boller in the business transactions practice; Benjamin Elliot in the tax practice; Kevin Rodriguez in the family wealth practice; and Carly Alameda, Morgan Jackson and Ace Padian in the business litigation practice.
Boller was formerly a senior paralegal with Kendall-Jackson Wine Estates, Ltd., where her major areas of focus were corporate governance and environmental law. She also managed private equity transactions and gained sale-side experience in convertible bonds and credit derivatives during her tenures with two major investment banks. Boller received her J.D. from University of California, Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law (2007), her M.Phil. in biological anthropology from University of Cambridge (2001) and her B.A., summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (1997).
Elliot practices federal and state tax law, advising clients on tax and related corporate issues. He previously practiced at McDonough Holland & Allen PC in Sacramento and Deloitte & Touche in San Francisco. Elliot earned his J.D. with a tax concentration from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law (2003) and his B.S. from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (2000).
Rodriguez is focused on estate planning, probate and trust administration, as well as taxation law for high-wealth clients. His experience includes creating complex estate plans, implementing various types of trusts and preparing federal estate and gift tax returns. Rodriguez joins from Jorgenson Siegel McClure & Flegel LLP in Menlo Park, Calif. He received his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law (2005) and his B.S. from Santa Clara University (2000).
Alameda most recently clerked for Judge Mark B. Simons of the California Court of Appeal, First District in San Francisco. She received her J.D. from University of California, Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law (2006) and her B.S., summa cum laude, from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (2003).
Jackson served as a judicial extern for Judge Maxine Chesney of the Northern District of California. He earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from University of California, Hastings College of Law (2007) and his B.A., magna cum laude, in politics from Whitman College (2001).
Padian worked as a judicial extern for Judge John Munter of the San Francisco Superior Court and served as an intern in the San Francisco City Attorney's Office. She received her J.D., cum laude, from University of California, Hastings College of Law (2007) and her B.A. from Yale University (2000).
