Directors’ and Officers’ Liability

The Insurance Coverage Group represents companies and individuals from a wide range of industries in negotiations and coverage litigation involving securities class actions and derivative actions, rescission claims by insurers, corporate insolvency issues and other claims against corporations and their directors and officers.  We often work with defense counsel in complex securities class action litigation to develop a resolution of the litigation with insurance proceeds.
 
We also regularly advise Fortune 500 and other companies concerning the purchase of directors and officers (D&O) coverage, including advising companies the and their outside directors about the scope of key coverages and exclusions, severability issues, and the purchase of separate coverage for protection of outside board members and other directors and officers.
