Brent Saldaña’s practice is focused on commercial real estate financing, acquisitions and dispositions, and leasing. His experience includes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating purchase agreements, loan documents, and leases, among other activities.

Brent specializes in development work, including negotiating and documenting contracts for major renovation projects. For example, he helped a developer acquire and transform abandoned hangars in Alameda, California, into useful and vibrant commercial spaces, a project that included acquiring the property via a lease purchase option, obtaining and negotiating construction financing, and drafting and negotiating leases and easements. Brent also has counseled an institutional investor in a multimillion-dollar purchase of retail condominium units in a mixed-use hotel development, a fund manager in several real estate and equipment purchases out of bankruptcy, and a luxury retailer in lease negotiations for retail space.

As a practitioner, Brent prides himself on being thoughtful, organized, and meticulous for his clients. He aims not to be a theoretician but a professional helping his clients gets things built. To that end, in his day-to-day work, he strives to distill the issues down to key, dispositive questions that will both speak to a client’s business needs and help move a project forward.
