Douglas Young Named President-Elect of the American College of Trial Lawyers

SAN FRANCISCO, October 15, 2018: Farella Braun + Martel announces that Senior Litigation Partner Douglas R. Young was elected President-Elect of the prestigious American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL) at its Annual Meeting in New Orleans. He most recently served as its Treasurer.

Young, who is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers and other invitation-only organizations, is a courtroom veteran and boardroom advisor who handles sensitive cases with complicated facts. His matters cover multiple subject areas, including internal investigations; international antitrust or FCPA claims; intellectual property; securities; white collar criminal defense; and parallel civil, criminal, and regulatory proceedings. Young is a former President of the Bar Association of San Francisco and currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a recipient of the ABA’s Pro Bono Publico Award.

Founded in 1950, ACTL is recognized as the preeminent organization of trial lawyers in North America. The College is dedicated to maintaining and improving the standards of trial practice, professionalism, ethics, and the administration of justice.
