Farella Client MedMen Enterprises Inc. Opens Second San Francisco Retail Store

Farella Braun + Martel provided MedMen Enterprises Inc., a leading cannabis retailer with operations across the nation, with land use and permitting advice to win approval to open its MedMen Union Street retail store in San Francisco's Cow Hollow neighborhood. The store opened on March 7. 

The store occupies 3,222 square feet of prime retail space at 1861 Union Street and marks the company's inaugural partnership with equity-licensed partner Mirage Medicinal. Read more about MedMen Union Street in the company's press release here.

CJ Higley, a partner in Farella's Real Estate Industry Group, obtained entitlements for the project on behalf of MedMen. The conditional use permit for the project was the first-ever “formula retail” approval granted to a cannabis retailer in San Francisco.
