Doing Good to Build Your Network

6/19/2018 4:30pm7:30pm
Farella Braun + Martel LLP
235 Montgomery Street, 17th Floor
San Francisco, CA 94104

Farella Braun + Martel is hosting the event and insurance recovery partner Amanda Hairston is a speaker, with Elena DiMuzio, senior legal counsel, litigation ajd regulatory at Dropbox, Willie Hernandez, vice president and deputy general counsel at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and Angela Johnson, litigation counsel at Uber.

Pro bono and community service is core to most lawyers, but can be difficult to execute in the corporate environment. Partnerships of firms and legal departments provide valuable support for underserved communities and create opportunity for diverse attorneys to give back and to grow their professional networks that can lead to direct work and a book of business (i.e., power in the law firm hierarchy), as well as skills and leadership development. A panel of committed pro bono lawyers at firms and in-house will discuss hurdles and best practices in pro bono projects and provide an instructive case study on a successful law firm – legal department pro bono program.

MCLE: 1.25 hours
