Effectively Taking and Defending the Virtual Deposition

June 25, 2020 11:30am12:30pm

Kelly Matayoshi spoke on the ABA Labor and Employment Law Section's live webinar, "Effectively Taking and Defending the Virtual Deposition" on June 25.

Details:
Remote workplaces have become the new normal, and law firms are no exception. As we increasingly adapt our practice to the virtual world, many of us have to get comfortable with taking and defending depositions virtually. Join us for a webinar with a panel of experts well-versed in virtual depositions who will walk us through the process and provide practice pointers and practical advice on how to ensure you take or defend remote depositions effectively. Our panelists will discuss important topics such as what logistical and strategic steps you need to take to prepare for a virtual deposition, how to effectively handle exhibits remotely, and how to get the most out of a witness who is not in the same room. We also will have a representative from Veritext, a nation-wide court reporting company, who will talk about the basic technologies required to hold a remote deposition and walk us through their virtual deposition platform.
