Immigration Case
In a difficult immigration case, we obtained a grant of summary judgment in a suit filed against Homeland Security for arbitrarily denying our client's daughter entrance into the U.S. on the ground that she is ineligible because she was over 21 years old at the time of her application. The government based its decision on a doctor's bone-scan analysis, but it never produced the X-rays on which the analysis was based. We convinced the court that the government's failure to provide the X-rays after relying on them was arbitrary and capricious. The judge ordered the government to reconsider its decision. (Pro bono)
