Biography

Working with Farella's Private Client, Exempt-Organizations lawyers, Lauren Jensen enjoys helping philanthropists and nonprofits make the world a better place. She assists these clients and attorneys with all stages of the nonprofit life-cycle, including formation, federal and state tax-exempt status, ongoing compliance, re-organization, merger and termination, as well as support regarding gifts and related LLC and trust entities. She also assists a broader range of attorneys with general corporate, and real estate status and transactions, including purchase and sale projects, mergers, and multi-state reorganizations.

Lauren has also worked as a litigation paralegal, supporting attorneys and their clients through complex, regulatory, mediation, and appellate matters in a variety of legal fields. She organized and coordinated a complex and multi-jurisdictional banking litigation matters, from inception through trial for a team of attorneys and paralegals, and served as lead paralegal at federal and state trials. She set up and managed a firm calendaring program for all 58 California counties, other state courts and numerous federal jurisdictions.

Lauren serves as a mentor to new paralegals and Diversity Pipeline Interns. She volunteers as a judge with Bay Area Urban Debate League and is active in the San Francisco Paralegal Association pro bono committee.
