Biography

Michelle Kao’s business litigation experience spans a wide range of subject matters including breach of contract, unfair business practices and California UCL claims, consumer goods, intellectual property, trade secrets, and antitrust. She has represented clients at the trial and appellate levels in both state and federal court, as well as for arbitrations, mediations, and the ITC. 

Michelle has experience at all stages of litigation, including drafting briefs and pleadings, conducting legal research, overseeing discovery, interviewing and preparing fact and expert witnesses for testimony, arguing substantive motions, participating as a member of a trial team, and engaging in settlement negotiations.

During law school, Michelle served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Cristina A. Snyder of the U.S. District Court, Central District of California.
