Farella Represents Miller Family on Sale of The Silverado Vineyards

Northern California legal powerhouse Farella Braun + Martel advised the Miller family on the sale of Napa Valley luxury wine producer The Silverado Vineyards to Foley Family Wines. The sale included a 73,000-square-foot winery and 300 acres of vineyards across Napa’s Stags Leap District, Coombsville, and Yountville wine regions.

The multidisciplinary wine industry Farella deal team was led by Karen Yuen with assistance from Katherine Philippakis, Greg LeSaint, Kevin Marshack, and paralegals Shannon Sullivan and Shan Shan Li.  Brent Saldaña and Ricky Young handled real estate matters with assistance from land use planner Rick Tooker and analyst Rachel Lenihan. Philip Peters and Jeff Hamilton handled Hart-Scott-Rodino Act analysis, Said Kordestani provided tax advice, Holly Sutton advised on employment issues, and Nate Garhart advised on intellectual property issues. Private client partners Cynthia Rowland and Tony Vecino provided guidance to the family on the deal.
