2024 Minority Bar Coalition Unity Award: Cynthia Castillo
Farella Braun + Martel is proud to announce that partner Cynthia Castillo received a 2024 Minority Coalition Unity Award from the San Francisco La Raza Lawyers Association at the annual MBC Unity Awards on November 12, honoring leaders from member organizations for being exemplary in promoting the cause of diversity in the legal profession and in the San Francisco Bay Area community. Cynthia is a member of the San Francisco La Raza Lawyers Association’s board of directors and is co-chair of the Latina Committee, which she co-founded to serve as a network for Latina lawyers practicing in the Bay Area.
Minority Bar Coalition (MBC) of the San Francisco Bay Area is a network of diverse bar associations and law pathway programs dedicated to working together to advance diversity in the legal profession by sharing best practices and resources in bar association programming and advocacy.
A trial lawyer, Cynthia handles complex business disputes with a focus on contractual disputes and consumer class actions, particularly Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) class actions. She is named among The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch in Commercial Litigation. She served as a law clerk for the Honorable Philip Martinez of the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas. Cynthia received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
