Holly Sutton, employment partner at Farella Braun + Martel, comments on the risks of employment lawsuits and best practices to minimize the risks and cost of litigation. In the article, Ms. Sutton noted that not properly documenting a situation is a common mistake she sees.
According to Ms. Sutton, “There are so many ways to create liability. Those who have never had a case think they are safe. But that’s an expensive way to learn. Paying attorney fees is an inefficient way to address issues, and they take a large portion of the claim."
