Farella Braun + Martel Adds Corporate Attorney Philip Milestone; Laura Roche Elevated to Special Counsel

SAN FRANCISCO, July 9, 2008 - Farella Braun + Martel adds corporate attorney Philip Milestone to its Business Transactions practice.  Laura C. Roche, who practices in the firm's business litigation and intellectual property practices, is elevated to Special Counsel.

Milestone's experience includes assisting in international and domestic private equity and real estate acquisitions; representing companies during department of justice antitrust investigations; and litigating breach of contract actions, trade secret misappropriation claims, and school expulsion cases. Milestone joins the firm from Bingham McCutchen

Milestone received his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (2006), where he was senior executive editor for the Berkeley Journal of Employment and Labor Law.  He earned his B.A. in philosophy, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Wisconsin, Madison (1999).

Roche maintains a diverse litigation practice with an emphasis on complex commercial disputes involving allegations of corporate wrongdoing, including fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, misappropriation of trade secrets, professional negligence and breach of contract. 

Roche earned her J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center (1994) and her B.S.F.S. in international politics and diplomacy from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service (1987).
