Farella Braun + Martel Expands Employment Practice

March 30, 2022 Announcement

Northern California legal powerhouse Farella Braun + Martel announces the addition of associates Jeffrey Briggs and JaeWook "Jerry" Lee to its growing employment law practice. Farella continues to invest in its employment practice to meet the growing demand of its large corporate clients seeking sophisticated employment advice and litigation.

Jeff has defended employers in litigation ranging from single-plaintiff matters to class and representative actions involving all aspects of employment law. He has litigated disputes in federal and state courts involving wage-and-hour, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation issues. Jeff has experience representing clients at labor arbitrations and before administrative agencies. He also advises employers on best practices to mitigate exposure or avoid litigation altogether. Jeff earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame Law School (2018). He joins Farella from Allen Matkins LLP's San Francisco office.

Jerry's litigation experience includes defending a client as a member of a trial team in a federal criminal trade secrets case and drafting memoranda on wage and labor issues, employment discrimination, and privacy law. He earned his J.D. from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law (2020). During law school, he externed for the Honorable Jorge L. Alonso of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Jerry joins Farella from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP's Palo Alto, CA office.

In 2021, Kevin Jones and Idrian Mollaneda joined Farella's employment group. The 14-lawyer employment practice offers world-class experience, personal attention, and pragmatic representation in contentious matters, and provides day-to-day counseling and management training to avoid them to a diverse client base of technology corporations, credit card and e-commerce companies, professional services providers, growers, producers, and manufacturers. Our emphasis is always on finding expedient resolutions that strike a balance between business goals, costs, and reputational risks.

Celebrating our 60th anniversary, Farella Braun + Martel is a leading Northern California law firm representing corporate and private clients in sophisticated business transactions and complex commercial, civil, and criminal litigation. Clients seek our imaginative legal solutions and the dynamism and intellectual creativity of our lawyers.
