Farella Braun + Martel Grows with Two Attorney Additions

SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 16, 2010 - Farella Braun + Martel LLP welcomes Aman Badyal and Stephanie J. Hall as associates in its San Francisco office.  Badyal joins Farella's Tax Practice Group, and Hall joins the Construction Practice Group.

Badyal advises a wide range of clients on the tax and related legal implications of commercial transactions, including the formation of large real estate investment funds, cross-border purchase and sale transactions, and complex restructurings of tax partnerships and S and C corporations.  Additionally, Badyal has been involved in the favorable resolution of various state and federal tax controversies.  Badyal joins Farella from Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis LLP.  He earned his LL.M. in taxation from New York University (2005), his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center (2004) and his B.A. from the University of Washington (2001).

Hall's experience includes representing owners, contractors and design professionals in a wide variety of construction matters.  She has negotiated and developed design and construction contracts for public facilities, cathedrals and commercial buildings.  She has advised owners and contractors on construction defect claims, breach of warranty, claims avoidance and indemnification.  Prior to joining Reed Smith in 2005, Hall completed an internship with the Office of Administrative Hearings in Sacramento and an externship with The Hon. Neal A. Cabrinha in Santa Clara.  Hall holds a J.D., Order of the Coif, from the University of California, Davis, King Hall School of Law (2005), where she was editor of the Environs Law Journal, and a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley (2000).
