Farella Braun + Martel Named One of Working Mother & Flex-Time Lawyers “50 Best Law Firms for Women”

November 13, 2012 Announcement

SAN FRANCISCO (November 13, 2012): Working Mother today named Farella Braun + Martel LLP as one of the 2012 Working Mother and Flex-Time Lawyers “50 Best Law Firms for Women.” The award recognizes law firms for their family-friendly policies and business development initiatives that are retaining women and advancing them into the leadership pipeline. This is the fourth time that Farella has been named among the “Best Law Firms for Women.”

“For Farella, this year we are marking our 50th Anniversary, so 2012 is about reflecting on and celebrating what has made the firm unique and successful for 50 years,” said firm chairman Steve Lowenthal. “Generous, creative and progressive policies and a culture of inclusion, collegiality and mentoring are examples of what distinguish Farella. We give our attorneys both the flexibility and the opportunities to flourish and thrive.”

Farella is committed to recruit, develop and advance its female attorneys. The firm understands that there are many paths to professional success, and is dedicated to helping women achieve it, while balancing work-life issues throughout each attorney’s career. Farella’s progressive parental leave and reduced hours policies demonstrate its commitment to gender equity, and programs like Farella’s Women’s Leadership Committee and award-winning Diversity Committee have helped further advance its commitment and create an inclusive culture founded on the values of quality, equity, respect and service to its clients. These attributes draw female attorneys to the firm and keep them here.

The list of the “50 Best Law Firms for Women” is featured in the December/January issue of the magazine, and on workingmother.com and flextime lawyers.com.
