Stephanie Skaff Named Among Top IP Litigators in California by Daily Journal

SAN FRANCISCO, April 22, 2015 – Farella Braun + Martel LLP Partner Stephanie P. Skaff has been named one of the Daily Journal’s Top 75 Intellectual Property Litigators in California.

Skaff is chair of Farella’s Intellectual Property Litigation Department. She represents companies and individuals in complex litigation involving intellectual property, technology, privacy and licensing issues. She litigates patent infringement and other cases venued in jurisdictions nationwide related to computer hardware, software, internet search and applications, security and encryption, mobile devices, gaming, financial services, networking and database technology. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/U).

Skaff served as the 2014 President of the Bar Association of San Francisco, the former co-chair of the ABA Litigation Section Intellectual Property Committee, and past co-chair of the Northern District of California Lawyer Representatives Committee. She is listed as a leading patent litigation practitioner in California in the 2014 edition of IAM Patent 1000. In 2014, she was honored as one of the San Francisco Business Times’ “Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business.” She was recognized by The Recorder as one of its 50 “Women Leaders in Tech Law” in California in 2013 and 2014, and among its “Women Leaders in Law” in California in 2012. In 2006, she was selected by the Daily Journal as one of California’s “Top 20 Lawyers Under 40.” Skaff earned her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law (1995).
