Biography
Priyam Desai focuses her practice on environmental and natural resources law where she represents clients in a broad range of compliance, permitting, and litigation matters.
Priyam is experienced at helping clients navigate all stages of civil litigation including strategy, discovery, motion practice, and settlement. She also works closely with clients to provide counseling on regulatory compliance and risk management.
Priyam clerked for the Honorable Andrew Guidi of the Alaska Superior Court. Prior to joining Farella, she worked in private practice where she represented clients in the employment, commercial, and environmental sectors.
Priyam has extensive experience as an environmental professional before law school and draws heavily on her technical background to better serve her clients. She worked as a renewable energy senior analyst for Pacific Gas & Electric and as a law program data analyst for the Sierra Club. She has experience working with economic models, designing and implementing reporting systems for scientific data, and drafting regulatory comments for environmental proceedings.
While at law school, Priyam worked for the Chief Counsel’s Office of the California Energy Commission, the Natural Resources Defense Council, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of California (Civil Division).
