Biography

Su Li’s litigation practice focuses on representing technology companies in patent infringement litigation. She has advised clients ranging from large corporations to startups in federal district courts and the International Trade Commission in cases involving technologies such as speech recognition, machine learning, software, e-commerce, streaming services, and consumer products.

Su has experience in all aspects of litigation, including pitching, pre-litigation planning, mediation, case management, discovery, discovery disputes, drafting dispositive and non-dispositive motions, preparing and second-chairing depositions, preparing infringement and invalidity contentions, drafting claim construction briefs, preparing expert reports (non-infringement, invalidity, and damages), preparing witnesses, mock trials, pre-trial filings, and drafting trial motions, and supporting fact and expert witness cross exams and daily objections and disclosures during jury trial.

Her pro bono experience includes assisting indigent individuals with their legal needs, such as appealing an unlawful detainer case in the appellate division of the California State Court and handling an asylum hearing before the US Immigration Court.

During law school, Su published a student note entitled, “Belmora LLC v. Bayer Consumer Care AG: Unfair Competition as an Alternative Approach to Penetrate the Territorial Principle in U.S. Trademark Law” in the Berkeley Technology Law Journal. Su co-authored and published multiple articles on constitution law, privacy law, judicial behavior, and the legal profession in journals including Stanford Law Review, California Law Review, and Arizona Law Review.
