Douglas Dexter Elected Fellow of College of Labor & Employment Lawyers

SAN FRANCISCO (July 9, 2015): Farella Braun + Martel LLP congratulates veteran Employment Partner Douglas Dexter on his induction as a Fellow to the prestigious College of Labor & Employment Lawyers.

 

The College of Labor & Employment Lawyers is an international organization comprised of the most accomplished professionals in the labor and employment law community. Fellowship is by nomination only, limited to those who have been practicing for 20 years or more and demonstrate the highest professional qualifications and ethical standards. The mission of the College is to provide guidance, knowledge and clarity in the area of labor and employment law.

Chair of Farella’s Employment Practice Group, Dexter has been representing employers for more than 30 years, advising clients on implementing sound business policies and reducing the threat of employment litigation and workplace conflict. He represents clients in both individual and class litigation in employment matters involving wage compliance, disability accommodation and leaves of absence, sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation, union relations, trade secret protection, unfair competition, and non-compete/solicitation agreements. 

 

Dexter is a frequent writer and speaker on employment law topics in national publications and venues. Highly involved in the industry, he has served as president of the Northern California Human Resources Association and currently serves as a council member of the American Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section. Dexter earned his J.D., magna cum laude; from the University of San Diego (1984), where he served as comments editor of the San Diego Law Review.
