Mary McCutcheon Named President-Elect of the American College of Coverage and Extracontractual Counsel
SAN FRANCISCO, May 22, 2017: Farella Braun + Martel LLP announces that partner Mary E. McCutcheon was installed as President-Elect of the prestigious American College of Coverage and Extracontractual Counsel (ACCEC) at its 5th Annual Meeting in Chicago, Illinois. She is a founding member of the ACCEC and most recently served as its Secretary-Treasurer. She is a member of ACCEC’s Board of Regents and has served as chair of its Membership Committee and as a member of the Executive Committee.
Established in 2012, the ACCEC is composed of preeminent coverage counsel in the United States and Canada, representing the interests of both insurers and policyholders. The College is focused on the creative, ethical and efficient adjudication of insurance coverage and extracontractual disputes, peer-provided scholarship, law student outreach and the improvement of the relationship between and among its diverse members.
McCutcheon’s insurance recovery practice focuses on representing corporations, public entities and individuals in a variety of insurance coverage disputes including securities litigation and investigations, intellectual property disputes, cyber liability and other technology-related risks, employment-related claims and mass casualty personal injuries. She advises companies and individual directors regarding issues involved in the placement of directors' and officers' liability insurance and related indemnification issues, as well as handling claims that arise under those policies. McCutcheon chairs Farella's Construction and Insurance Recovery Department.
