Mary McCutcheon Named President of the American College of Coverage Counsel

July 17, 2018 Announcement

SAN FRANCISCO, July 17, 2018: Farella Braun + Martel LLP announces that partner Mary E. McCutcheon was installed as President of the prestigious American College of Coverage Counsel (ACCC) at its 6th Annual Meeting in Chicago, Illinois. She is a founding member of the ACCC and most recently served as its President-Elect. She is a member of ACCC’s Board of Regents and has served as chair of its Membership Committee and as a member of the Executive Committee.

“I am deeply honored to serve as President and work with so many talented and committed leaders in coverage law to further the goals of the College,” said McCutcheon. “In my 2018-2019 term, I look forward to working with the committees to roll out a new name, enrich membership communications, and continue to move forward ACCC’s strategic goals of enhancing the visibility of the College within the legal community, engaging Fellows in ACCC activities, and developing leadership among younger Fellows. From evolving insurance coverage law around blockchain and virtual currencies, cyber insurance and computer crime, to trends in general liability policies and directors and officers liability coverage, we have a lot to talk about and to learn from each other.”

McCutcheon’s insurance recovery practice focuses on representing corporations, public entities and individuals in a variety of insurance coverage disputes including securities litigation and investigations, intellectual property disputes, cyber liability and other technology-related risks, employment-related claims and mass casualty personal injuries. She advises companies and individual directors regarding issues involved in the placement of directors and officers liability insurance and related indemnification issues, as well as handling claims that arise under those policies. McCutcheon chairs Farella's Construction and Insurance Recovery Department. To learn more about Mary McCutcheon and her practice, click here
