James Colopy Elected to Board of Directors of the Environmental Law Institute

SAN FRANCISCO, November 28, 2016: Farella Braun + Martel LLP Partner James H. (Jim) Colopy has been elected to the board of directors of the Environmental Law Institute (ELI) in Washington D.C.

 

ELI serves the environmental profession in business, government, the private bar, public interest organizations, academia and the press, and plays a pivotal role in shaping the fields of domestic and international environmental law, policy and management. ELI is a non-partisan research and education center and is governed by a board of directors who represent a diverse mix of leaders within the environmental profession.

 

For twenty-two years, Jim Colopy has focused on representing manufacturers, retailers, chemical companies and developers in complex environmental litigation and enforcement actions and compliance counseling matters across the United States. His experience includes environmental enforcement actions, cost recovery actions, natural resource damage claims and assessments, toxic tort litigation, citizen suit litigation, land use counseling and litigation, product liability actions and administrative proceedings involving federal, state and local environmental laws.
