Associate - Real Estate

Associate – Private Client/Exempt Organizations Practice
Farella Braun + Martel is seeking an Associate for its Private Client Industry Group with at least 4 years of experience in counseling nonprofit organizations. The candidate must have knowledge of and substantial relevant experience with a particular focus on the corporate and tax laws applicable to nonprofit tax-exempt organizations. The position will require work on entity formation, governance, mergers, consolidations and dissolutions, tax planning, IRS audits and compliance, for a variety of types of organizations including private foundations, public charities, social welfare and trade associations, and charitable trusts. A thorough knowledge of charitable planning techniques is also expected.
Associate - Business Transactions
Farella Braun + Martel LLP is currently seeking one or two general business associates with a minimum of 2 but preferably at least 3 years of law firm experience handling a combination of corporate and financial transactions, such as M&A transactions, securities offerings and other financings, private investments, partnerships and joint ventures, corporate restructurings, fund formation, and corporate governance. The firm’s business attorneys work with a range of clients from closely held family businesses to large and complex business enterprises and serve clients in the technology, renewable energy, real estate, wine, cannabis and food and beverage industries.
Associate - Intellectual Property
Farella Braun + Martel LLP seeks a skilled and highly qualified associate with 2 to 5 years of intellectual property litigation experience to join its practice. The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate, masters degree or work experience in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Science, as well as previous intellectual property litigation experience. The candidate should have a high level of academic achievement from a highly ranked law school, strong legal writing and oral presentation skills and experience with IP litigation matters.

Farella Braun + Martel seeks lateral business transaction partners for our San Francisco office with the ability to bring and manage an established book of business. The opportunity is available to partners at all seniority levels. Junior partners with growing practices and who wish to have greater autonomy than larger firms offer will be strongly considered. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a range of clients from closely held family businesses to large and complex business enterprises. A successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial approach to the practice of law and will demonstrate a desire and commitment to developing new business and expanding the firm’s relationships with existing clients. Candidates should be comfortable working in teams and contributing to the firm’s business development initiatives and industry groups. Partner - Wine Industry
Farella Braun + Martel is seeking one or more lateral transactional partners with wine industry experience, whether that experience is focused on transactional matters, real estate and land use and/or estates and trusts. Our wine industry practice emphasizes all of these areas and all are a part of our full service offering. A commitment to the wine industry and a desire to be a part of a growing team is more important to us than a particular legal skill set. While our wine industry practice is centered in our St. Helena office, an appropriate candidate could be a primary resident of either of our offices, but would be expected to spend significant time in both locations.
