Billing Specialist (San Francisco Flexible Hybrid in SF or Remote in CA)

San Francisco

Farella Braun + Martel LLP is seeking a motivated, professional individual with excellent communication, accounting and organizational skills to apply advanced billing knowledge to support the client billing function. The ideal candidate should have five years’ client billing experience in a law firm. High school diploma/GED required. Some college, accounting or business school desirable.

Corporate/Transactional and Center Legal Secretary (San Francisco Flexible Hybrid)

San Francisco

Farella Braun + Martel is currently seeking an experienced Corporate/Transactional Legal Secretary to support our attorneys in our Corporate practice area as well as litigation attorneys via our Secretarial Center. The ideal candidate should have at least five years legal secretarial experience.

Associate - Real Estate

San Francisco

Farella Braun + Martel is currently looking for a Real Estate Associate with 3 to 5 years of experience. The ideal candidate would have a broad based real estate practice, with experience in acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, financing, joint ventures and development. However, the firm will consider candidates who have worked in other transactional practices, including but not limited to a transactional construction practice involving advising clients on construction, design, and related contracts, and desire to transition their practices to real estate.

This position is based in San Francisco, CA but may be a flexible hybrid position working remotely and in-person, as needed.

The annual base compensation range for this California position is between $225,000 and $275,000. Placement within the salary range depends upon a number of factors including, but not limited to years of relevant experience and professional skills required for this role. Additional compensation may include discretionary hours-based and additional bonuses, health/welfare benefits, vacation and leave time (including parental and sabbatical) and paid holidays.

Associate - Family Wealth - San Francisco/Hybrid

Farella Braun + Martel LLP seeks an associate with 3-7 years of experience for our Family Wealth practice. Candidates should have experience commensurate with their level in estate planning for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals. Experience with family offices issues a plus.

This position is based in San Francisco, CA but may be a flexible hybrid position working remotely and in-person, as needed.

The annual base compensation range for this California position is between $225,000 and $315,000. Placement within the salary range depends upon a number of factors including, but not limited to years of relevant experience and professional skills required for this role. Additional compensation may include discretionary hours-based and additional bonuses, health/welfare benefits, vacation and leave time (including parental and sabbatical) and paid holidays.

Special Counsel– Employment Litigation (Non-Partnership Track)

San Francisco

Farella Braun + Martel LLP seeks an attorney to join our employment litigation and counseling practice as a non-partnership track attorney. The candidate will work with the employment partners and associates on employment litigation matters in state and federal court and arbitration, and will support the group in providing employment advice and counseling to clients. Applicant should have at least 4 years of experience in California, including deposition experience. The successful candidate must have a high level of academic achievement and strong legal writing skills.

Associate - Business Transactions

San Francisco

Farella Braun + Martel LLP’s Business Transactions Group is currently seeking an associate with 3 to 4 years of law firm experience handling a combination of corporate and financial transactions, such as M&A transactions, securities offerings and other equity financings, private investments, partnerships and joint ventures, corporate restructurings, fund formation, and corporate governance.  The firm’s business attorneys work with a range of clients from closely held family businesses to large and complex business enterprises and serve clients in a myriad of industries, including technology, renewable energy, real estate, wine, cannabis and food and beverage.

This position is based in San Francisco, CA but may be a flexible hybrid position working remotely and in-person, as needed.

The annual base compensation range for this California position is between $225,000 and $250,000. Placement within the salary range depends upon a number of factors including, but not limited to years of relevant experience and professional skills required for this role. Additional compensation may include discretionary hours-based and additional bonuses, health/welfare benefits, vacation and leave time (including parental and sabbatical) and paid holidays.

Partner - Business Transaction

San Francisco

Farella Braun + Martel seeks lateral business transaction partners for our San Francisco office with the ability to bring and manage an established book of business. The opportunity is available to partners at all seniority levels. Junior partners with growing practices and who wish to have greater autonomy than larger firms offer will be strongly considered. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a range of clients from closely held family businesses to large and complex business enterprises. A successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial approach to the practice of law and will demonstrate a desire and commitment to developing new business and expanding the firm’s relationships with existing clients. Candidates should be comfortable working in teams and contributing to the firm’s business development initiatives and industry groups. A non-exclusive list of such groups includes those serving the technology, renewable energy, real estate, wine, cannabis and food and beverage industries.

Partner - Wine Industry

St. Helena

Farella Braun + Martel is seeking one or more lateral transactional partners with wine industry experience, whether that experience is focused on transactional matters, real estate and land use and/or estates and trusts. Our wine industry practice emphasizes all of these areas and all are a part of our full service offering. A commitment to the wine industry and a desire to be a part of a growing team is more important to us than a particular legal skill set. While our wine industry practice is centered in our St. Helena office, an appropriate candidate could be a primary resident of either of our offices, but would be expected to spend significant time in both locations.
