Farella Braun + Martel Adds Family Wealth and Business Transactions Attorneys

SAN FRANCISCO, June 27, 2011 - Farella Braun + Martel LLP has added Susan E. Baise as an associate in its Family Wealth Practice Group and Shara A. McCarthy as an associate in its Business Transactions Practice Group.

Baise counsels individuals and families on estate planning, asset protection strategies and family governance issues.  Her experience includes the formation of business and charitable entities and drafting of sophisticated revocable and irrevocable trusts.  She joins Farella from Pillsbury Winthrop's Palo Alto office.  Baise earned her J.D. from Stanford Law School (2006), where she served as administrative director of the Stanford Technology and Law Review.  

McCarthy's experience includes representing public and private companies with mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and general corporate governance matters.  She joins Farella from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in Los Angeles. McCarthy received her J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law (2008), where she was the Outreach Director of the UCLA Women's Law Union.
