Ashley Breakfield Elected 2024 President of CREW SF

January 12, 2024 Announcement

Farella Braun + Martel is proud to announce that real estate and land use partner Ashley E. Breakfield has been elected president of the Commercial Real Estate Women of San Francisco (CREW SF) Board of Directors. She will serve a one-year term beginning January 1, 2024, followed by a one-year term as immediate past president in 2025.

CREW SF is the premier business network for commercial real estate professionals in the San Francisco area. Founded in 1985, its mission is to advance all women in commercial real estate through business networking, leadership development, career outreach, and industry research.

“We want to continue to be at the forefront of San Francisco’s revitalization efforts and to center women in CRE in those efforts,” said Ashley. “The CREW SF chapter has a fantastic board of accomplished and enthusiastic women and a squadron of dedicated committee leaders planning fantastic events for our members and community. I’m honored to serve as president of the board of directors, and I look forward to this year’s fun and engaging programming and furthering CREW SF’s mission to develop and advance women in commercial real estate.”

In her law practice, Ashley represents large-scale urban developers, real estate investors, renewable energy companies, and private property owners in sophisticated land use and real estate matters. She is particularly skilled at advising clients on Bay Area mid-scale project development strategies, beginning at the project’s inception through the administrative process. She counsels developers and real estate investors on acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and leasing of office, industrial, retail, and agricultural real estate.

Ashley joined the CREW SF board of directors in 2022 and has served on CREW Network's Diversity & Inclusion Task Force. She has served as a co-chair of the Minority Bar Coalition of the San Francisco Bay Area and as a member of the board of directors for the Bar Association of San Francisco. She is recognized among Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch in Land Use and Zoning Law (2023-2024). Ashley earned her J.D. from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC  Hastings).
