Ranked in the Chambers USA High Net Worth Guide, our client base is both domestic and international with a heavy emphasis on family wealth generated in California’s technology, real estate, finance, and food and beverage (i.e., wine) industries.
The ideal candidate will become an integral member of our Private Client Industry Group supporting high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, privately-owned businesses, and family offices. Autonomy is a hallmark of our practice, which requires candidates to understand (commensurate with their level) the unique legal and business needs required to assist our Private Client Industry team build, expand, and develop current and future client relationships.

The annual base compensation range for this California position is between $250,000 and $295,000. Placement within the salary range depends upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, years of relevant experience and professional skills required for this role. The position is based in our Napa Valley wine country office. This is a unique opportunity to live and work in a small-town environment while practicing tax law at the highest level.
Ranked in the Chambers USA High Net Worth Guide, we assist individuals, families, family businesses, and fiduciaries to conceive and implement sophisticated personal wealth transfer and business succession planning. Our client base is both domestic and international with an emphasis on family wealth generated in Northern California’s technology, real estate, agriculture, food and beverage (e.g., wine), and hospitality industries.

Farella Braun + Martel seeks lateral business transaction partners for our San Francisco office with the ability to bring and manage an established book of business. The opportunity is available to partners at all seniority levels. Junior partners with growing practices and who wish to have greater autonomy than larger firms offer will be strongly considered. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a range of clients from closely held family businesses to large and complex business enterprises.
