The ideal candidate should have three years’ collections experience in a professional services firm, preferably a law firm. Associate - Tax - San Francisco/Hybrid
Farella Braun + Martel LLP seeks an associate with 2-4 years of experience for our Tax practice. Candidates should be familiar with a variety of federal and California income tax issues involving corporations, partnerships, LLCs and real estate. A successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to leverage their litigation experience and entrepreneurial spirit to resolve our client’s most pressing employment concerns in a highly interactive team environment.
Special Counsel– Employment Litigation (Non-Partnership Track)
Farella Braun + Martel LLP seeks an attorney to join our employment litigation and counseling practice as a non-partnership track attorney. The candidate will work with the employment partners and associates on employment litigation matters in state and federal court and arbitration, and will support the group in providing employment advice and counseling to clients. Applicant should have at least 4 years of experience in California, including deposition experience. The successful candidate must have a high level of academic achievement and strong legal writing skills.
Associate - Business Transactions
Farella Braun + Martel LLP’s Business Transactions Group is currently seeking an associate with a minimum of 3 and up to 6 years of law firm experience handling a combination of corporate and financial transactions, such as M&A transactions, securities offerings and other equity financings, private investments, partnerships and joint ventures, corporate restructurings, fund formation, and corporate governance. Experience representing lenders and borrowers in debt financings is preferred. The firm’s business attorneys work with a range of clients from closely held family businesses to large and complex business enterprises and serve clients in a myriad of industries, including technology, renewable energy, real estate, wine, cannabis and food and beverage.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with a range of clients from closely held family businesses to large and complex business enterprises. A successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial approach to the practice of law and will demonstrate a desire and commitment to developing new business and expanding the firm’s relationships with existing clients. Candidates should be comfortable working in teams and contributing to the firm’s business development initiatives and industry groups. Partner - Wine Industry
Farella Braun + Martel is seeking one or more lateral transactional partners with wine industry experience, whether that experience is focused on transactional matters, real estate and land use and/or estates and trusts. Our wine industry practice emphasizes all of these areas and all are a part of our full service offering. A commitment to the wine industry and a desire to be a part of a growing team is more important to us than a particular legal skill set. While our wine industry practice is centered in our St. Helena office, an appropriate candidate could be a primary resident of either of our offices, but would be expected to spend significant time in both locations.
