Industry Group Marketing Specialist

San Francisco

Farella Braun + Martel LLP is seeking an Industry Group Marketing Specialist for our San Francisco office. The ideal candidate will understand law firm structures, economics and politics, have a proven ability to think and act strategically, and understand how to use technology to create or streamline process, administer the six industry groups, and leverage resources for marketing and business development success. The candidate should have a college degree with an emphasis in business, marketing, communications, or English. Advanced degree a plus. 

Legal Secretary - Center (Trainee)

San Francisco

Farella Braun + Martel LLP is seeking a Legal Secretary - Center (Trainee). The ideal candidate will have some office experience and the motivation to learn to support attorneys, the Secretarial Center's workflow secretary and other legal secretaries. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, strong attention to detail, communication and computer skills.

Associate - Family Wealth

San Francisco

Farella Braun + Martel LLP seeks an associate with 4 or more years of experience for its Family Wealth practice. Candidates should have experience commensurate with their level in estate planning for high-net worth and ultra high-net worth individuals. Experience with family offices issues a plus.

Associate - Real Estate

San Francisco

Farella Braun + Martel is currently looking for a junior to mid-level Real Estate Associate. While transactional real estate experience is preferred, attorneys with other experience and a keen interest in pursuing a career in real estate law are encouraged to apply. The role will involve work on acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, financing, joint ventures, development and construction.

Evening Legal Secretary

San Francisco

Farella Braun + Martel LLP is seeking an experienced litigation secretary to join our Secretarial Center. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of litigation e-filing experience. Preferred hours are 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. but other schedules considered including part-time.

Associate – Private Client/Exempt Organizations Practice

San Francisco

Farella Braun + Martel is seeking an Associate for its Private Client Industry Group with at least 4 years of experience in counseling nonprofit organizations. The candidate must have knowledge of and substantial relevant experience with a particular focus on the corporate and tax laws applicable to nonprofit tax-exempt organizations. The position will require work on entity formation, governance, mergers, consolidations and dissolutions, tax planning, IRS audits and compliance, for a variety of types of organizations including private foundations, public charities, social welfare and trade associations, and charitable trusts. A thorough knowledge of charitable planning techniques is also expected.

Associate - Business Transactions

San Francisco

Farella Braun + Martel LLP is currently seeking one or two general business associates with a minimum of 2 but preferably at least 3 years of law firm experience handling a combination of corporate and financial transactions, such as M&A transactions, securities offerings and other financings, private investments, partnerships and joint ventures, corporate restructurings, fund formation, and corporate governance. The firm’s business attorneys work with a range of clients from closely held family businesses to large and complex business enterprises and serve clients in the technology, renewable energy, real estate, wine, cannabis and food and beverage industries.

Associate - Intellectual Property

San Francisco

Farella Braun + Martel LLP seeks a skilled and highly qualified associate with 2 to 5 years of intellectual property litigation experience to join its practice. The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate, masters degree or work experience in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Science, as well as previous intellectual property litigation experience. The candidate should have a high level of academic achievement from a highly ranked law school, strong legal writing and oral presentation skills and experience with IP litigation matters.

Associate - Tax

San Francisco

Farella Braun + Martel LLP is looking for a Tax Associate with a broad based tax practice, ideally with 2-3 years of experience. The candidate must have an LLM.

Partner - Business Transaction

San Francisco

Farella Braun + Martel seeks lateral business transaction partners for our San Francisco office with the ability to bring and manage an established book of business. The opportunity is available to partners at all seniority levels. Junior partners with growing practices and who wish to have greater autonomy than larger firms offer will be strongly considered. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a range of clients from closely held family businesses to large and complex business enterprises. A successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial approach to the practice of law and will demonstrate a desire and commitment to developing new business and expanding the firm’s relationships with existing clients. Candidates should be comfortable working in teams and contributing to the firm’s business development initiatives and industry groups. A non-exclusive list of such groups includes those serving the technology, renewable energy, real estate, wine, cannabis and food and beverage industries.

Partner - Wine Industry

St. Helena

Farella Braun + Martel  is seeking one or more lateral transactional partners with wine industry experience, whether that experience is focused on transactional matters, real estate and land use and/or estates and trusts. Our wine industry practice emphasizes all of these areas and all are a part of our full service offering. A commitment to the wine industry and a desire to be a part of a growing team is more important to us than a particular legal skill set. While our wine industry practice is centered in our St. Helena office, an appropriate candidate could be a primary resident of either of our offices, but would be expected to spend significant time in both locations.
