Farella Braun + Martel’s Robert Hines Joins the ELI Leadership Council

SAN FRANCISCO, September 27, 2016 – Farella Braun + Martel LLP Partner Robert L. “Buzz” Hines has been selected as a member of the Environmental Law Institute’s Leadership Council.

 

The ELI Leadership Council is the Institute’s group for the most prominent environment, energy, and natural resource leaders in the nation. The Council recognizes leaders for their commitment of resources and time to the Institute’s vision of a healthy environment, prosperous economies, and vibrant communities founded on the rule of law. Members participate in events and engage other leaders in discussions about key environmental law and policy issues. Hines has practiced environmental law for over 25 years representing clients in complex governmental and private litigation and enforcement actions, including state and federal cost recovery actions, natural resource damage claims and assessments, air, water and hazardous waste actions, and multi-media agency proceedings. Chair of Farella’s Air Quality and Climate Change Group, Hines provides regulatory representation and compliance counseling related to facility and project permitting, regulation of greenhouse gas emissions and administrative variance proceedings. Hines also counsel clients, including wine industry clients, on water-related matters, including surface water diversion and use and compliance with the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act.
