November 9, 2021 Webinar
Cannabis Industry Education Series

Farella's Buzz Hines, and guest speakers Kari Campbell-Bohard from EpicVeg and Lompoc Valley Cooling and Robert Schultz from Geo Blue Consulting, for a discussion on "Cannabis Farms in the Neighborhood: Water, Contaminants and Other Proximate Matters."

As the cannabis industry grows and farms and farming operations expand, concerns around water use, wastewater discharge, land use, and related nuisance issues, among others, rise as well. Our panel of industry experts and farmers will discuss regulatory issues as they relate to cannabis farms, the challenges of converting row crops for cannabis use, and water and wastewater management. We will also explore the pros and cons of expanding existing operations versus starting new ventures. Discussion includes:

  • How regulatory schemes may differ for cannabis farms
  • How to manage water use
  • How to deal with wastewater
  • How to convert existing farms
