Lauren Galbraith will present the session "Some Keys to Success for Succession Planning" at the CalCPA - Wine Industry Conference.

Topics covered:

  • Learn about the 5 keys to successful family business transition
  • Explore the common hindrances to success for multi-generational family enterprises
  • Develop understanding regarding how to shepherd family enterprises through the requisite steps to be successful in their succession planning and execution

At this session, you will learn about the five keys to successful transition of a family business to the next generation, as well as some common hindrances to success and advice for how to avoid or otherwise navigate these. Case studies will help to clarify which skills are necessary for a family to flourish in business together and to pass on familial wealth that is inclusive of values, relationships, philanthropy and other family legacies. This session will help you lead families into setting up governance structures and processes that are uniquely suited to their needs and, thus, point them to long-term success.
