Tyler Gerking spoke to Law360 for the article "Calif. Wineries Prep for Coverage Fight for Wildfire Smoke." 

An insurance recovery partner, Tyler said he has heard from many wineries and vineyards that have voiced concerns about getting property insurance that "won't put a significant strain on their business and meets the requirements of their lenders and other financial partners."

He added that he sees the state insurance department's efforts with the FAIR Plan as a mixed blessing, as there are challenges for wineries and vineyards. The coverage has fairly low limits with more restrictions, and there is a struggle to be considered for the policy given the need to fit certain qualifications.
