Biography
Linda has a comprehensive renewable energy, litigation, and regulatory environmental practice. She advises on clean energy permitting relating to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), and the Endangered Species Act. She has a successful track record in environmental litigation, defeating claims brought under NEPA and the Federal Land Policy and Management Act. Additionally, she has obtained favorable settlements for her clients in matters arising under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), Proposition 65, the Clean Water Act, as well as in complex toxic tort litigation. She also has an active pro bono practice at the intersection of clean energy permitting and remediation with the goal of developing clean energy resources at existing industrial infrastructure sites.
Linda’s biological sciences degree bolsters her strength as an environmental advisor and litigator, allowing her to meaningfully collaborate with technical consultants on issues related to emerging contaminants, air quality, hydrology, biology, and geology to find the right solutions for her clients.
Before commencing her legal career, Linda interned at several environmental regulatory agencies. Her internships have included service with the State Water Resources Control Board, the California Energy Commission, the Environmental and Natural Resources Division of the United States Department of Justice in Sacramento, California, and the United States Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, DC.
