Cross Border M&A in the California Market

June 1, 2023 at 9:00am9:45am
Drew N. Goodwin
ACG San Francisco - M&A West 2023

Drew Goodwin will moderate the panel "Cross Border M&A in the California Market" at the Association for Corporate Growth's M&A West conference.

Session Overview:

Cross-border M&A transactions in California and across the United States continue to offer compelling opportunities for international companies and investors. A successful cross-border deal requires boots on the ground – a team of lawyers, accountants and other professionals who are intimately familiar with local rules and regulations and can help their clients successfully navigate the complexities inherent in cross-border deals. This moderated discussion will provide insights, current trends, risks and rewards affecting cross-border deals. This will include regulatory and antitrust concerns, the market for debt financing and a tumultuous geopolitical climate. We will discuss real-world examples to demonstrate how “local” counsel in California provided value in the latest deals.

Moderator:

  • Drew Goodwin

Panelists:

  • Mayuko Tsujimoto, Partner, Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu
  • William Devenish, Partner, Field Fisher
