Farella Assists Developers Win San Francisco Transbay Parcel F Tower Approval

March 25, 2021 Announcement

Northern California legal powerhouse Farella Braun + Martel represented the joint venture of Hines, Urban Pacific Development, and Goldman Sachs to secure approval for the construction of a 61-story, 800-foot tall mixed-use tower adjacent to the Transbay Terminal on Howard St. known as Transbay Parcel F. It will be the fourth-tallest building and second tallest residential tower in San Francisco. San Francisco supervisors gave final approval to the development on March 23, following earlier land use approvals by the San Francisco Planning Commission and Commission on Community Investment and Infrastructure.

The project includes 275,000 square feet of office space, 9,000 square feet of retail, 20,000 square feet of open space, 165 condominium units, 189 hotel rooms, and a pedestrian bridge over Natoma Street providing additional public access to Salesforce Park atop the Transbay Terminal.

Farella lawyers advising the joint venture are CJ Higley, Steven Vettel, and Ashley Breakfield.
