Farella Braun + Martel Names New Partners Ryan Lowther and Christopher Wheeler
SAN FRANCISCO, January 14, 2014 – Farella Braun + Martel LLP announces the elevations of two senior associates to the partnership. The new partners are Ryan Lowther and Christopher Wheeler.

Lowther is a member of Farella’s Business Transactions and Renewable Energy and Clean Technologies Groups. He has extensive experience leading merger and acquisition transactions and his broad-based general business practice includes assisting early stage and mature companies in meeting their corporate, securities, financing and operational needs. Lowther’s renewable energy practice includes representing solar manufacturing and project development companies in connection with the acquisition and sale of project assets, individual projects and project portfolios. Lowther earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2003, where he was managing editor of the Columbia Journal of Transactional Law.
Wheeler is a member of Farella’s Complex Litigation Department. He has litigated a broad range of complex commercial disputes and regulatory enforcement actions, representing public and private Silicon Valley companies and their directors and officers, hedge funds, municipal and county governments, and other law firms. Wheeler brings to his practice a deep background in finance and economics. Prior to joining Farella, he served as vice president and deputy director of the Committee on Capital Markets Regulation; prior to his legal career, he was an economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Wheeler earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2002.
