Farella Braun + Martel Welcomes Sarah Good as Its Director of Professional Development, Diversity + Inclusion

August 2, 2018 Announcement

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 2, 2018: Farella Braun + Martel is pleased to announce the addition of Sarah A. Good as counsel and director of professional development, diversity + inclusion. Good steps into a newly created position, where she will focus on the professional development and career paths of Farella associates and work on expanding diversity and inclusion at all levels of the firm.

“I am excited to welcome Sarah to Farella Braun + Martel,” said firm chair Brian Donnelly. “At Farella, one of our core values is diversity and inclusion in all aspects of our firm. We are committed to attracting, training and retaining a diverse workforce. We are confident that Sarah’s enthusiasm for these ideals, and her experience in law firm leadership roles, including recruiting, diversity, associate training, and strategic planning, will help us move from aspirational goals into actual results.”

Good represents companies and their directors and executives in commercial, consumer and securities litigation and white collar defense. She joins Farella from Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP’s San Francisco office, where she was a partner and co-led the firm’s Securities Litigation & Enforcement team. Good earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law (1990).

“I’m thrilled to become a part of the Farella family and to start an exciting new chapter in my legal career,” said Good. “I’m impressed by Farella’s dedication to giving its associates the best possible experience. My job will be to make sure they get the training, mentorship and support they need to become successful partners at Farella or provide associates with a springboard to any other opportunities they decide to pursue. Additionally, I feel Farella is truly committed to increasing diversity in the legal profession and to its culture of inclusion and collegiality. I look forward to taking diversity and inclusion at Farella to the next level.”
