Jim Day Named Among Daily Journal’s Top IP Lawyers in California

Farella Braun + Martel is proud to announce that partner James L. Day was named one of the “Top Intellectual Property Lawyers” in California for 2023 by the Daily Journal.

Head of Farella’s Patent Office Litigation practice, Jim is focused on solving complex IP disputes for major technology clients in federal courts and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). He has pioneered the strategic use of patent office litigation to save his clients time, money, and uncertainty. He also has extensive experience litigating patents in federal district courts around the United States, dealing with technologies as diverse as cable networks, disk drives, video networking, electronic locks, lightning-protected gas tubing, and pharmaceuticals. In addition to his legal credentials, he is an electrical engineer with software industry experience, giving him credibility with judges, juries, and his clients’ technical experts. Jim was named to the Daily Journal’s 2020 list of Top IP Lawyers and among Managing Intellectual Property’s IP Stars in Patent Litigation since 2018.
