August 15, 2022 Announcement

Northern California legal powerhouse Farella Braun + Martel is proud to announce that for the third year in a row it has ranked highly among Vault’s "Best Midsize Law Firms to Work For" in the United States, placing #6 in the 2023 rankings. An associate survey comment on Farella’s firm culture included, Genuine people working on interesting deals and with interesting clients. People are wholesome and take pride in the fact that [Farella] is a great place to work for everyone, from staff to partners.”

Another associate commenting on quality of work said, I strongly agree that I'm given substantive legal work that is appropriate for my level (mid-to-senior associate). I have plenty of contact with clients and opposing counsel and argue regularly at hearings. I feel that my strategic recommendations are considered and valued by my case teams.”

Farella’s additional top 10 Quality Of Life rankings in the midsize firm category include:

  • Career Outlook #5
  • Firm Culture #6
  • Technology & Innovation #6
  • Wellness #6
  • Pro Bono #7

  • Hours #8
  • Information Training, Mentoring & Sponsorship #8
  • Associate/Partner Relations #9
  • Diversity #9

In May, Farella was named one of the “Best Places to Work in the Bay Area” for the 16th time by the San Francisco Business Times and the Silicon Valley Business Journal and placed #1 for the second year in a row in its category among large companies (200–499 employees). In Law360’s 2022 Diversity Snapshot, Farella earned a #16 ranking in its size category.
