Farella Braun + Martel Represents First Solar With Development and Sale of 280 MW California Flats Solar Project

Farella Braun + Martel LLP served as project development, permitting and real estate counsel to First Solar, Inc. (FSLR) in the development and sale of First Solar’s 280 megawatt California Flats Solar Project, located on approximately 2,900 acres of private land in Monterey County and San Luis Obispo County, California. Farella’s work included securing all land use entitlements, environmental and permit approvals, negotiating ground lease, easement, and option rights for the project, support with construction compliance, and assistance with respect to the sale of the project to Capital Dynamics. The Farella team included partners Richard Rabbitt and David Lazerwitz, and associates Brent Saldaña, Caroline Newton and Brennan Bentley.
