Farella Braun + Martel Hosts Fourth Annual Developers Conference

SAN FRANCISCO, April 29, 2010:  Farella Braun + Martel LLP recently hosted its Fourth Annual Developers Conference.  The half-day seminar, "Opportunity Awaits: Preparing for the Recovery," was held at the Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco on April 28, 2010. 

One hundred and sixty Bay Area owners, developers, investors and key business decision makers attended the conference, which focused on strategies for preparing to move projects forward in the stabilizing real estate market. 

Farella Partners Dean Gloster, Greg Shean, Brian Donnelly and Steven Vettel joined with industry experts Scott Haskins (Sierra Maestra Properties) and Bill Wycko (San Francisco Environmental Review Officer) took part in three informative panels discussing strategies for acquiring troubled assets, accessing tax credits and alternative sources of capital, and the new CEQA Guidelines and other recent developments in land use law. 

Following the panel discussions was a lunch with a keynote address by San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom and Development Advisor, Michael Yarne, discussing the mayor's office efforts to encourage construction starts.
