Farella Braun + Martel Joins Brief of Amici Curiae Law Firms Supporting Law Firms Targeted by Executive Orders

Farella Braun + Martel is proud to continue standing up for the rule of law by joining the Brief of Amici Curiae Law Firms in support of the four law firms currently fighting the executive orders targeting them.

The Brief of Amici Curiae Law Firms was filed in the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit on April 3 in support of Perkins Coie LLP, Jenner & Block LLP, Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP, and Susman Godfrey LLP.

Last year, Farella was among the first law firms to join the amicus brief opposing this administration’s unlawful retaliation against Perkins Coie and other law firms solely because those firms hired lawyers or represented parties in matters that the presidential administration disfavors. The Executive Orders conflict with our nation's foundational principles, the Constitution, and the rule of law. For our system of justice to function effectively, legal professionals must be free to zealously advocate for all their clients—whether they are large or small, wealthy or poor, regardless of political association—without fear of retribution from the government.
