Farella Braun + Martel Adds Intellectual Property and Business Litigation Attorneys

SAN FRANCISCO (November 28, 2011): Farella Braun + Martel LLP has added Benjamin Geiger as an associate in its Business Litigation Practice Group and Daniel Callaway and Erik Olson as associates in its Intellectual Property and Technology Practice Group.

Geiger represents clients in complex business litigation and securities litigation.  His experience includes significant SEC enforcement actions and investigations, federal securities class actions, and derivative actions.  He joins Farella from Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe’s San Francisco office.  Geiger earned his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (2006), where he was a member of the California Law Review.  He received his A.B. from Stanford University (1997). 

Callaway represents high technology clients in patent infringement litigation.  His experience ranges from pre-suit investigation through Markman hearings and trial.  He is formerly with Fish & Richardson PC in Redwood City, Calif.  Callaway earned his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (2008), where he was an executive articles editor for the Hastings Business Law Journal.  He received his M.S. (2000) and B.S. (1999), both in Electrical Engineering, from The Johns Hopkins University. 

Olson is an intellectual property litigator, handling patent, trademark and trade dress cases.  He has represented clients in Markman and summary judgment proceedings, as well as in arbitration.  Olson joins Farella from the San Francisco office of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan.  He obtained his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (2008), where he was a staff editor of the Hastings Business Law Journal and admitted to the Order of the Coif and the Thurston Honor Society.  He earned his A.B., magna cum laude, from Georgetown University (2000).
