Five Farella Braun + Martel Partners Named to Benchmark Litigation’s 40 & Under Hotlist

San Francisco: Sept. 17, 2018: Farella Braun + Martel LLP’s Carly O. Alameda, Sarah Peterman Bell, Eugene Y. Mar, Jessica K. Nall, and Erica Villanueva have been named to Benchmark Litigation’s40 & Under Hotlist” for 2018. The list honors partners 40 or younger who have been deemed the most promising emerging talent in their litigation communities by peers and clients.

Carly Alameda represents clients in business and civil litigation matters, with an emphasis on complex breach of contract and business tort claims and real property disputes. Her practice includes representing clients in California state and federal courts, as well as in alternative dispute resolution processes, including AAA, JAMS, and ICC arbitrations. Her experience includes both state and federal appellate work.

Sarah Bell’s practice focuses on environmental and natural resources litigation and counseling in environmental enforcement actions, cost recovery litigation, citizen suits, complex toxic tort litigation, water quality litigation, product liability litigation, private attorneys general actions, and administrative proceedings. She has substantial experience representing private parties in federal and state courts.

Eugene Mar represents technology companies in intellectual property litigation and advises start-ups and emerging companies on strategies for building and diversifying intellectual property protection and counsels them on licensing, assignments and best practices. He has represented clients in all aspects of intellectual property litigation, including Markman hearings, jury trial, and on appeals.  

Jessica Nall leads large scale internal corporate investigations covering a variety of issues in a broad range of contexts and industries. She also represents prominent senior-level executives and companies facing high-stakes internal investigations, SEC investigations and enforcement actions, and Department of Justice criminal investigations. Nall leads Farella’s White Collar Defense and Internal Corporate Investigations Practice.

Erica Villanueva advises corporate policyholders seeking to maximize coverage under their insurance policies, and litigates insurance coverage disputes at the trial and appellate levels. She works with policyholders to ensure that their claims are properly presented to insurers, to obtain the maximum possible insurance recovery and resolve any coverage disputes that may arise during the course of a claim.
