23-Year Program Provides Financial Assistance to Diverse Bay Area 1L Law Students

Northern California legal powerhouse Farella Braun + Martel is pleased to announce that it is accepting applications now through March 2 for its “2023 Diversity Scholarship Program,” a firm Diversity, Equity, Inclusion + Belonging Committee initiative awarding a total of $45,000 in scholarship grants to be divided equally among three first-year law students attending select Bay Area law schools.

The Diversity Scholarship Program is now entering its 23^rd year and has awarded more than $590,000 in scholarships to 89 first-year law students in the Bay Area. The program is open to law students who self-identify as a member of a historically underrepresented community, including those identifying as BIPOC, a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, disabled, and/or with a background or experience that would otherwise contribute to the diversity of the legal profession. Scholarship recipients are chosen based on a combination of merit and financial need, and preference is given to applicants who demonstrate a commitment to working and living in the Bay Area.
